50th Anniversary of the 1963 March

The Equal Justice Society commemorated the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 2013, at the Oakland Museum of California. The event, “Everyday People: The Unsung Heroes and Heroines Who Powered the Civil Rights Movement,” featured an Art of Civil Rights exhibit and auction, and an original performance by musicians, actors and dancers from the Marcus Shelby Jazz Orchestra, the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre, and the Zaccho Dance Theatre.
