Ginger Johnson

Executive Assistant

Ginger Johnson is the Executive Assistant at the Equal Justice Society. She joined EJS in March 2006 as an administrative assistant.

Ginger brings enthusiasm and a wealth of institutional memory and knowledge to our organization. Her impact on our sustainability has been invaluable, and her contributions have touched every part of our organization. From fund development to supporting our program and legal staff members, to serving as our in-house historian, Ginger’s contributions and talents are beyond measure. Ginger provides direct support to EJS’s President and general support to the organization.

A Bay Area native, she was previously a receptionist with Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP in San Francisco.

Prior to working at Lieff Cabraser, Ginger was an administrative assistant for five years at the UCSF Family Alcoholism Study where she was responsible for a wide variety of duties, including screening and scheduling participants for the study.

Ginger was at the East Bay Conservation Corps for six years, first as a receptionist and then as a development associate, responsible for producing the agency’s weekly newsletter, developing and tracking Corpsmember work progress and assisting with various aspects of program participant selection.

Since 1990, Ginger has volunteered with the Omega Boys Club San Francisco, where she provides violence prevention techniques and life skills to at-risk individuals of all ages.

Ginger graduated from San Francisco’s Galileo High School and attended City College of San Francisco.
