EJS Clients Black Parallel School Board Inducted into Impact Fund Class Action Hall of Fame

Twenty-seven heroes were today inducted into the Impact Fund Class Action Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes named plaintiffs whose commitment and determination has led to significant advances in economic, environmental, racial, and social justice.

Equal Justice Society clients Darryl White, Carl Pinkston, LaRayvian Barnes, Seth Sandronsky, and Roslyn Sandronsky – named plaintiffs in the case Black Parallel School Board v. Sacramento City Unified School District – were among the honorees.

Plaintiffs including the Black Parallel School Board reached a settlement agreement in May 2023 with the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) in a lawsuit that challenged the district’s longstanding harmful practices of excluding and segregating students with disabilities, particularly Black students with disabilities.
