#GivingTuesday with EJS

Equal Justice Society #GivingTuesday

On December 3, 2013, the Equal Justice Society will take part in a worldwide event — #GivingTuesday. The day celebrates giving – giving more, giving smarter and putting personal philanthropy back into the holiday seasons. It’s an organizing principle to encourage the creativity and energy of people all over the world to work together for good.

The retail industry has long benefited from seasonal shopping that symbolically kicks off with “Black Friday” – a day that has since inspired “Small Business Saturday” and “CyberMonday.” #GivingTuesday, then, serves as a celebratory, fully connected day to kick off the giving season.

#GivingTuesday is endorsed by Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, Dorothy A. Johnson Center on Philanthropy, Giving Institute, Giving USA Foundation and InterAction. Charity Navigator, Givewell and GuideStar are serving as Charity Advisors. VolunteerMatch is a volunteer advisor to #GivingTuesday.
