Law & Policy: Scholar Advocate Program

Our Scholar-Advocate program develops and positions law students and recent law school graduates to become activists who craft and implement progressive law and policy.

This program was developed in part as a response to the methods of training facilitated by conservative organizations like the Federalist Society and a challenge to the Right’s strategic networking plan.  It also serves as a means to counter the decline of minority representation in the legal field.

EJS partners with Professor Eric Yamamoto of the University of Hawaii School of Law and Professor Mary Louise Frampton of the University of California Berkeley School of Law to facilitate this program.

EJS has also hosted in our office several UC Berkeley Scholar Advocates as interns providing research support for our Dismantling Intent program.
